Shannons Nationals Round 2 at Phillip Island for 2016

Shannons Nationals at Phillip Island for 2016

G’day! Back from another quick trip down to Phillip Island for the second round of the Shannons Nationals. This time the draw card was the opening round of the Australian GT Endurance Championship.

Having missed the first round of the Shannons Nationals at Sandown (due to the Supercars round in Tassie), Phillip Island was a good chance to catch up with some previous customers and pick up a few new ones as well. In fact I’m always on the look out for a few more customers, particularly competitors in the Shannons Nationals, so feel free to get in touch.

I’ve mentioned every time I’ve been there, but Phillip Island is a fantastic venue for motorsport photography. Although the traditional island weather kept things interesting with heavy clouds and the constant threat of rain all weekend. But with the world best GT cars on track from not only the fourth round of the Australian GT Championship, but the inaugural round of the Australian GT Endurance Championship, with plenty of track time, it’s hard not to try to get creative and make the most of what is on offer.

Now I didn’t write any articles over the weekend, but I did put together the photos for brakemarker.com.au. Make sure you check out those articles:

Here’s a collection of some of my favourite photos from Australian GT action from across the weekend. If you’d like to see some of my favourites from the Formula 3, Australian Production Car Series and the Radicals, you can find them on my Facebook page. It’s also where I’ve share some links to my customer galleries over the weekend, worth checking out also.

That’s it for me from the Shannons Nationals from Phillip Island. I’m back on the road in two weeks for the third round of the Shannons Nationals at Winton Raceway before heading to Darwin to defrost with the Virgin Australia Supercars.
